I'm still alive
Just thought I would let everyone know(if you care)that I am still alive. I really don't even have the time to tell you everything that I have done this week. I think I woke up Mon. morning, breathed in and haven't exhaled yet! I'm sure everyone is just as busy. I'll be really glad when we can relax a little in the next few days. We had gifts, food, etc. that had to be made and wrapped all last week for different things but I made it through. I have a million one things to do still today so I better get back on it. I'll be posting pictures next week when I can exhale again!:)
Hope everyong has a very Merry Christmas and a Great New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Slow Learner
I guess I'm a very slow learner. Someone had just posted the other day something about---when a kid says there stomach hurts---believe them. Well, yesterday morning Jaida had been grouchy all morning while we were getting ready for school----whining, saying "I'm tired" and being very dramatic. I gave her her herbs, and vitamins to take and she whined about that too. She took one and said ---mom it feels like it got stuck in my throat. I said get your shoes on you are fine--(if I had only known). Then she starts whining--my stomach hurts, my stomach hurts, my stomach hurts---(get the point?). I'm saying get your coat on you are fine----------then it all came up on the floor---thankfully not on a carpeted floor!
So, now maybe I will listen when she says----MY STOMACH HURTS!!!! Or I might just think she is overreacting.

Wanted: Legal Advice
Just needed some legal advice so I thought I'd get it from the blogasphere. This morning after much arguing and bossing(on the part of Jordan to Jalen)Jalen asked me if he could divorce Jordan???? Is that legal? Just wondering! Please let me know because I think they have reached the point of irreconcilable differences!

CHRISTMAS STUFF!
Wow! Alot has taken place since my last blog entry. I wish so bad that I was good at taking pictures but, I am not. So, here are a few things that we have done and I hope I can post some pictures later. One slight problem was I couldn't find my camera for a few days. Since we have had sooooo many things stolen in the last yr. when I can't find something I automatically assume it was stolen. Well, I forgot that Jenny had borrowed it! So,everything we did I was asking people to take pictures for me. Now I have to somehow get those.
One of the great things we did was we went to Yuletide Celebration on the Circle. It was totally awesome. Sandi Patty was back and the African children's choir sang. It was so moving from the first song!!! I would love to go again but it is a little pricey!
I have been trying to finish up Christmas shopping. Jeff and I went Sat. to try to finish up the kids stuff. I even had a list and we just didn't find everything. We had fun though and ate at Don Pablos so that was worth the trip!
Our kids had their christmas program on Fri. night. I had volunteered my help with Jaida's class. I didn't do alot but it still took some time with practice, stage etc. They all did such a good job.
This week is pretty full too. We had practice for church program last night we have small group Wed. night, Jaida has her very first piano recital Thurs. night and in between all of that---------I need to finish Christmas shopping, Rachel and I get to decorate tables for the Church Christmas dinner(notice I said get?!)so we need to shop for that, I need to wrap Christmas presents, of course my house needs cleaned, and a million one other things but I love the season and all the busyness that it brings!
Sunday is our church program with caroling that evening. So, there will be cookies to bake and things to make. The kids have a practice on Sat. with cookies to bake for that. WHEW! I'm tired just thinking about all of it. And, here I sit blogging, guess I better get up and get something done!!

SNOW
New Style
Dejavu
This is a picture of our kids last Christmas. Just thought it a little strange that Old Navy has the exact sweater again this year that Jalen wore last year and Macy's and Kohl's have the exact dress this year that Jaida wore. What do they do put them in storage and pull them back out?? I guess I could save myself some $$ and let them wear them again??!!

Day after Thanksgiving Post
Just thought I'd let you all know I did survive Thanksgiving! We had a great time with the Mowery side of the family. Today, Mom, Aunt Betty, Jenny, Jody, and I went shopping. We started at 8:00 A.M. and I got home at about 8:00 P.M. Not bad huh? I had to buy new shoes about half way through cause my feet were killing me. I stuck with it though despite the pain:)! I was very pleased with what I got accomplished. We had a great time but I'm VERY TIRED and my feet are SORE!!!! I'll really try to get some pictures posted soon. I've just been tooo lazy to get them on here!
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Twins
Before we left for Tennessee the kids were at school and they were taking prayer request and praise notes. Janae raised her hand and said "pray for us--our Mom and Dad are going to be gone for 5 days" Jordan then raised his hand and said--"I have a praise note---my Mom and Dad are going to be gone for 5 days!! These are my twins and they couldn't be any more different!
I'm Back!
It might appear that I've been gone for along time. In reality we were only gone from Wed. to Sun. I've just been busy trying to catch everything up! We had a great time with Kim and Steve. I took a few pictures that I will post soon. Not a whole lot of fun to take pictures when no kids are envolved. I really don't want mine taken at all! We went to the Comedy Barn on Thurs. Steve was trying to get them to call Jeff up on stage but it backfired on him and they called him. He of course stole the show! He was hilarious. Everyone around us kept telling him he needed to change his profession. They asked him when he was on stage who he was trying to get them to call and he replied "my dumb brother". So, Jeff then became the dumb brother! We were eating at Olive Garden on Sat. and a guy came to our table and said--hi Steve---he had been at the Comedy Barn! He told Steve what a great job he had done. It was hilarious. Kim bought the DVD so we got to watch it again. The guys played golf two times and we shopped. We had a fun time and it was over toooooo fast! My kids had a good time while we were gone and they got spoiled I think!
Have a wonderful day!

"Here's Your Sign"
Just thought it was hilarious today! Jeff and I went to Pepe's for lunch. He walked down to the bank and I went on to Pepe's to get a table. I walked in and the two ladies at the cash register just kind of ignored me for a min. and continued to talk to each other. Finally the one looked up at me and said "um, did you want a table?" NO---I just walk into restaurants for the fun of it---hehe! I just thought that was definitely a "here's your sign moment"! I was very gracious though and just said yes to her question!

Easy Monday!
Well, since I was groaning on Saturday night I thought I should let everyone know that this Monday has been soooo easy! It is so great to have things picked up over the weekend. Mondays can be such hard days and this one wasn't! I felt bad for sounding like a whiner! It feels good to be ahead of the game for the week.
We are leaving for Gatlinburg on Wed. evening. We will be back home on Sunday. We are going with Kim and Steve(brother and sister-in-law)and the kids are staying with Grandmas, Aunts, Uncles, and whoever will take them:)! It sounds like alot of fun but of course the Mother in me already feels guilty!!! Even though my kids are big there is just something about it! Like I always say I wouldn't be a normal mother if I didn't feel guilty about something at least a dozen times a day! Janae is my homebody and has already been asking---how long are you going to be gone---with a pained expression on her face!(maybe that's why I feel guilty?) So, I'll try to think of you all out there in blog land while I'm soaking up the beautiful sunshine of Tennessee!!!!I have alot to do tomorrow to be ready because I work Wed. and then we will leave! Have a good week!
I should also say that we had a great time last night with fellowship here at our house. People of course helped bring food---we had, beef and chicken enchiladas, homemade salsa, corn casserole, 5 cup salad, and a scrumptous dessert(thanks Cathy for the extra piece---it was great for breakfast this morning). The food was great, the fellowship was fun, and we had some good laughs!

GROAN~
Wow, what a day and a half. I've grocery shopped, cleaned, finished laundry, cooked, went to Jalen's football game, went to Walmart 3 times, totally redid a whole wall of photos of the kids, bossed kids around, bossed husband around:),and just sat down at 11:15(technically 10:15 because of Daylight savings!!!Yippeee) It is amazing how I can somehow think I have everything pretty well done and then when it comes down to Sat. somehow I have wayyyyyy toooo much to do! Oh well, that was my busy day. We are having company tomorrow night so I must keep everything picked up and clean. That's the hardest part!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!

Pray for the Cat
I just about killed my cat! I stood up from the table stepped directly on the cat, she yelled, I yelled and then I about fell down trying to not step on her again. No one was here to even enjoy all the drama! Skittles took off upstairs--probably scarred for life.
Menu
I need to come up with a menu for Sun. night fellowship. Anyone have any great ideas? I don't want sloppy Joes. I thought about having chicken enchiladas, corn casserole, homemade salsa, and dessert. What do ya think? Maybe someone that's coming over will read this and give me some ideas. Anybody have a great new dessert recipe???

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISTERS!
I totally failed to wish my sisters a Happy Birthday on my blog. I'm sure they are totally crushed!! They were twins born 7 yrs. apart!:) Jenny turned 40 and Jody turned 33 on Oct. 27th. Jody was Jenny's 7th birthday present. It worked out good for me because Grandma felt sorry for me and always brought me a little present on their birthday. Hope you two had a great birthday. Jody don't feel bad---we will throw you a big party in 7 years!
Just sitting here enjoying the blessed quietness. Thinking about what will be going on this week. It promises to be busy once again. I don't feel like I ever really have anything exciting to blog about just everyday boring stuff. Jalen has a game tonight, Wed. we have small group meeting again, Thurs. I will go on a feild trip to the Children's Museum with Jaida, Fri. a Dr. appt for Jaida, Sat. another game for Jalen, and Sun. we will have fellowship night again and I'm on for company. So, between appts. games, church, cleaning, and cooking I think I won't be bored this week. I am so thrilled that I got some extra stuff done last week so it shouldn't be too hard to get ready for company. How many of you out there have cleaned up your yard, pulled out summer flowers, trimmed bushes, and mowed your lawns for fall???? I haven't and it needs it bad. I guess I'll add that to my list too---although I've had it on there for 3 or 4 weeks now!:)
Have a good week!

Shrimp
I told Jaida I would take her to get food after her piano lesson---she wanted "cotton candy shrimp" from Dairy Queen! I might like shrimp if it tasted like cotton candy.
Drum roll....
My two new purchases----I've wanted a big clock forever and just never wanted to spend the money.(not that I really wanted to now--I just did) So, I finally did. You really can't tell but the clock and mirror are very big. I really like them! By the way I wasn't trying to keep everyone in suspense I couldn't get my pictures to load onto the computer last night!grr!
This picture is very blurry!
Voila!

Very Weird!
Last I checked there was a picture of my couch. Tonight I signed in and it wasn't there---so---I clicked on edit posts a lo and behold it was there so scroll down a bit and there it is. But...I did do a little shopping today!!!! I told Jeff I was glad I had a new sofa to sleep on tonight! HA! I'll post pictures of my two very large purchases tomorrow if I can squeeze it in. I have to work and won't be home until probably 4:00 and then we have small group here. Since the kids get out of school at 12:30 and Jeff will be working here, that is plenty of time to mess up the house!!!!!!!
So, I'll probably be scrambling!
So, I'll probably be scrambling!
Since I had the room painted so quickly(never mind all the work of putting everything back) I thought it my duty to start another project that I have been wanting to do. I have had my kitchen table for probably 12 yrs. It had hunter green chairs and table legs if that tells you anything about the age of it. A few years ago I painted it white but it has chipped up a little. It also had alot of paint on it from Jaida doing her painting. So I removed the varnish, sanded it, and stained it yesterday. Today I need to put polyurethane on it. Oh did I mention we also carved pumpkins yesterday??? My back is aching today! I post after pictures of the table when I finish.
