My heart attack for the day!

I was vaccuming behind a sofa today and thought I was about to sweep up a wad of black thread----when suddenly the black thread jumped and landed on my foot! It was a grasshopper that contiunued to try to attack me as I did a little jig and screamed-----------Jody looked in from the kitchen with a very puzzle look on her face. It was hilarious! I had the heeebie jeebies for quiten a while! ha~
To those of you that are at all interested-----we cleaned 14 bathrooms, 5 kitchens,15 bedrooms, 5 living rooms, 5 family rooms, 4 dining rooms, and lots of hallways an entry ways today! ha (aren't you proud of us?)

Crazy Emotions

Just thought it was funny today that Jaida is soo tired and very shall I say womanly--being interpreted emotional--- from not being used to school yet. She came home very cranky. She lost her super ball and cried for like 10 min. because I couldn't find it--she would never normally care. Then at the supper table she giggled the entire meal about really nothing at all??!! I just thought you poor thing you have no idea that you will be dealing with this rollercoaster your entire life :)ha!

?????????

Ok now it's working again???? I am really confused!(doesn't take much!)

Technical difficulties

Question----why won't my blog titles appear????? I can put a title in and it will show and then 2 min. later it disappears??????????? Anyone got a clue?

Picture Time--------NOT!!

This is what happens when kids think they are getting too big to get their picture taken!! GRRRR! The main problem is the delay on the digital camera. I can think for sure I got one and when I check they aren't even in the picture at all! I finally told them yesterday---it is no longer allowed! When I want to take their picture they better let me!Ha Oh the powers of a Mom!

Sermon for the Day

Just a little something I read in devotions on relationships that I thought was good---"Do your best to live in peace with everyone" (Romans 12:18) With differing personalities how can we get along with everyone? For starters, understand that you are responsible for your actions-not someone's reaction to them. The verse says, "do your best"-not, "be perfect" or "always say the right thing". You will make mistakes and offend people. Be willing to ask forgiveness and learn from it. to "live in peace" doesn't mean you must befriend those you don't particularly enjoy; it simply requires respect and condsideration. If you do encounter an adversary, don't entertain an argument; instead, remove yourself from the situation. Sometimes peace is better kept at a distance.

I Survived!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I survived the first full day of school with ALL of the clan gone! It was kind of weird but believe it or not the day flew by! I did all the normal activites such as Laundry, straightening, more straightening, worked on Jeff's books for like 3 hrs., paid bills, went to the bank, and then it was time to pick them up! I do need to mention that I had a nice time on the porch swing after everyone left for the day! Ah! And then to think it is only 10 P.M. and they are all tucked in their beds! And I'm tired---not used to the 6:30 A.M. rising! I promise I won't bore you with my day at home everyday! Besides that I won't be home everyday anyway. So have a great week!

Sentimental!

Every last one of my kids will now be in school for the entire day everyday! What on earth will I do??? (If you took a look at my house you would know that that is a really stupid question :)I'm sad that they are growing up sooo fast!! I have 2 starting in highschool(this really freaks me out)--of course I have one going into first grade(this also freaks me out)---I do not know where the time has gone. I guess I'm kind of sentimental tonight as I sit here typing!!! I know I will get used to it and wander what I did when they were all at home but I think I will feel lost for a few days!

School Starts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SCHOOL STARTS IN 10 HRS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No running in the halls!

Just had to share---David Fry is working in our school this year and he has this brilliant idea(I think it was his idea)to do some funny video clips about the rules for the kids for orientation. I won't share them all but the one that i just still can't get over----he goes to the local nursing home(I am telling the honest truth), Jenny goes with him and they(I still have no clue what on earth he told them)video an old woman creeping down the hall on her walker----David comes around the corner and says "Maam--no running in the halls"---as she continues to take baby steps down the hall! So, maybe it's not that funny in words but it is hilarious!! It really needs to be on utube!

...this is what I'm doing--Laundry! Yea!

...this is what I did.(thanks Grandma Iris for all the leftovers from Sunday--they are all in this pot of Vegtable soup!)

...this is what I need to be doing!(this is what happens when you normally have a laundry room and then all of a sudden you don't for like 3 months)

...this is what I want to be doing!

Half finished Laundry room!

Rejuvinate

That's the name of the color of paint I just painted my laundry room. If that won't rejuvenate me at 6:30 A.M. when I'm getting kids up for school and starting laundry---Nothing will!Ha! I'll take pictures and post later. The guy at Sherwin Williams mixed the wrong shade of paint but I decided to keep it anyway---and is it bright! Whew! I like it though. Been working hard in there(painted walls, ceiling, sanded floor, cleaned etc.) and I have the sore muscles to prove it! I've been groaning all day!
Have a great Sunday!

Helloooo Love!

Jalen(9yrs.) for a long time almost every time he would see me he would change his voice and say "Helloooo Love". I thought it was really cute. Now he has changed it and when he sees me he sings "I love you from the bottom of my heart". Jordan (14yrs) still hugs me all day long. I think I'm pretty fortunate to have 2 big boys that still love their Mama and don't act embarrassed about it at all!
P.S. I have two girls that love me too but they show it in a different way!

Aw--home again!

We made it home from camp! It was alot of fun but we are glad to be back home! I decided to only do laundry one day at camp so I am paying for that decision. Since I have a new front loading washer and dryer I knew it would be easy but...it still isn't fun. I think I've done 8 or 9 loads. YUCK!
Now it's getting ready for school time. NO, I do not have school supplies, no, I do not have all of the uniforms purchased, yes, I think we have all four pairs of expensive tennis shoes bought, but we still have until next Fri. so I think we can handle it. The kids NEED very desperately to be IN School!!!!! The bickering has to STOP or this Mama is going to lose it!!!!!! They have had a fun summer but I think it is just time to move on to something different!!! Jeff reminded me that they will all be in school and he will be working out of the house(indianapolis)for a few weeks! Oh my how will I ever cope with the WHOLE house to myself for a few days? I think it will be fun to try. Don't get me wrong I love my family! Ha~
Well, it's time to wind down and go to bed--I have to work tomorrow!
Have a great week!
It was nice to see all the fellow bloggers at camp. I'm learning more and more of the lurkers too! Cracks me up that some of these people even check out our blogs!
Bye--I'm off to bed!

Happy Birthday to my Husband!

Happy 37th Birthday to my wonderful husband. Now you have caught up with me again! Hope you have a great birthday! Kick back and relax! I'm sure you will!ha!
P.S. don't forget to feed the animals, put your clothes in the laundry and keep the kitchen cleaned while we are at camp! ha!

25th Anniversary

Happy 25th Anniversary Kim and Steve!! Wow you are really getting old! I remember when we got married they had been married for 8 yrs. and I thought that was such a long time! ha! Hope you had a great anniversary. Congrats to Kim for sticking with the same man alllll those years!(Kim reads my blog so I thought I would surprise her!)

Camp

Well, we made it to camp last night! Wow what a day preparing. Thought I would never ever be finished with everything. Started out oversleeping and then I just didn't realize everything I needed to do!!! Pack, banking, pay bills, chiropractor, laundry, straighten up house, library(for a much needed Karen Kingsbury book to take--didn't have it so I HAD to drive to Kim's to get it), clean out van, and lots of other really fun things! It was such a treat to be able to do all of that in 100 degree weather! I planned on leaving in the early afternoon, um we left at 6:30 PM. But we are her now. Jeff has a new wireless card that he left for me and it gets great service here even in the country! Kids are having fun, I got to do a little shopping today and everybody is happy! One big problem is the weather. It is sooooo hot. I had to stay calm in the service tonight to be able to sit there. There was no air moving at all and it had to be like 95 in there!!!!!sweat was dripping off everyone. Hopefully it will cool down a little bit!

Church Camp, new car, and more painting!

Not a whole lot to report on! I feel like I'm going ninety miles an hour lately. I have been wanting to paint my kitchen but was undecided on the color so I've been putting it off. I was cleaning it yesterday and noticed once again how horribly dirty the walls look so I just trotted off to the paint store and picked up some samples. Never mind that we are leaving for camp on Mon.,having fellowship Sunday night(I'm invited out but have to cook),having dinner with Jeff's family Sunday(have to make stuff)needed desperately to clean house and need to pack. Whew! What is wrong with me? I really think lately that I have ADD!!! Anyway I painted the kitchen and then of course I needed to make a run to laf. to find some new things. So I had another very busy day. I was good today and cleaned my house and got groceries. So, tomorrow will be so much easier. The kids are excited about camp. I am too! It is actually relaxing during the day. I plan on getting the First Born Series of Karen Kingsbury and reading while we are there. Jeff won't get to be there during the week but will come for the weekend. We have to rough it in Jeff's familys motor home!! with the slide out--etc. It is horrible! Ha! We are very spoiled and I feel guilty when I see the camp rooms!
Hopefully next time I post I'll have some pictures to post! Sorry I've been soooo boring lately!
One cool thing--Jeff got a new car for his business. A new white Honda Civic with a moon roof. It has been alot of fun after not having a car(we have a mini van and truck) for so long. I've been tearing around town.Ha! Look out!
Jaida is finally better after fever for 4 days. Finally took her to the Dr. because her ear hurt so bad. She had and ear infection so she missed 3 nights of VBS.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!!!!
