Sermon for the Day
Just a little something I read in devotions on relationships that I thought was good---"Do your best to live in peace with everyone" (Romans 12:18) With differing personalities how can we get along with everyone? For starters, understand that you are responsible for your actions-not someone's reaction to them. The verse says, "do your best"-not, "be perfect" or "always say the right thing". You will make mistakes and offend people. Be willing to ask forgiveness and learn from it. to "live in peace" doesn't mean you must befriend those you don't particularly enjoy; it simply requires respect and condsideration. If you do encounter an adversary, don't entertain an argument; instead, remove yourself from the situation. Sometimes peace is better kept at a distance.

Thanks! If that sermon wasn't for anyone else, it was for me!
glad you got something out of it---I did too!

Great thoughts!
Ouch! (ya know...Sis. Campbell says we have to say ouch or amen) but I am WAY better than I used to be. Now if I could only impart that wisdom to my oldest (who is sadly just like her mother and maybe a little bit like her father...deadly dose of argumentation going on there :)
