Sofa

Ok folks I finally ordered my sofa. I went against my better judgement and got the red. Now the fun begins(not). Right now I have a red family room with bamboo shades and red curtains soooo, don't think that is going to look too good. Now I need to paint and I don't know what color I want. Thought maybe I'd get some suggestions. I don't know when I'll get the sofa but it is in Casleton so it will be in the next few days. It was supposed to be in Lafayette on Fri. Jeff and I went to pick it up on Fri. evening because the delivery fee was $75. I can do the $35 fees etc. but $75 was a little much I thought. Anyway, the salesman forgot to have it delivered to the Laf. store so we didn't get it. Kind of funny cause they kept appoligizing and I really didn't care cause I didn't have any place for it anyway. Company was here and I didn't have the room ready. Cool thing is they are delivering it at no charge!! Yippeee. Now I don't have to worry abut it flipping out of our truck! When it comes I'll take a picture of it and see if anyone has any great ideas for what to put with it!

I didn't comment because I could not decide. My "heart" went for the red sofa, but my "pocketbook" would think brown. Can't wait to see the sofa! Think I would go for brown or tan walls to complement.

That's my problem. I guess I already told you...I think I would pick an entirely different color of wall if I didn't already have "latte" trim. And it's not as easy as painting over the trim b/c it's all over the house with no good stopping points!

I think I would probably go for a very faint tannish/gold if that makes sense.

I was thinking along the same lines as Martha. Red is so warming. Can't wait to see a photo of it!

I love my red couch!!! I have black tables and entertainment center but I added some brown and tan pillows and throws to the room too!!! Kind of hard to explain in words.

Bobbie, I know what you are talking about. I have alot of things that would be hard to explain! I'm not really the matchy matchy type so I'm sure people sometimes think what on earth!

I can't wait to see pics. I was thinking khaki as well or a light gold.

Okay, khaki if you want more contemporary, light gold if you want trendy. I think you're more on the trendy side, am I right?
